We’re Giving Away the Imaginext BigFOOT the Monster

This BigFoot Monster toy is so cool!

This is such an incredibly fun toy! And we’re giving it away!

For eleven years, our family has thrown a Christmas party to collect unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items for a local charity. This party has grown larger through the years, and every year I threaten never to throw the party again because it is so time-consuming.

It may seem like a strange time of year to write a post about Christmas, but when I won the awesome Imaginext BigFOOT the Monster toy at the Fisher-Price booth at BlogHer, I knew I wanted this toy for a donation for our party. Cool toys like this are exactly the reason we throw it.

The toy arrived at our house last week and it is going to make some child so happy on Christmas morning! This Monster stands about two feet tall, walks forward and backward, talks, rolls around and throws things. It has an amazing remote control in the shape of a paw-print. How cool is that?!? It even comes with a rechargeable battery and battery pack. You need to provide two AA batteries for the remote, but the batteries for the Monster can be recharged. Not only will this toy be a pleasure for a child, but that feature makes it family-friendly as well.

My boys were thrilled when this toy arrived at our house because they thought it was for us. I thought they would be upset when I told them I planned to donate the toy at our Christmas party. Thankfully, they weren’t.

When M2 heard we would donate the toy at our party, he started jumping around. “Someone is going to love this toy! This is so cool! We’re having our Christmas party again?!? This is AWESOME!” (He must have heard me last year when I threatened to never throw the party again. OOPS!)

Thank you, Fisher Price, for giving me a renewed excitement for our Calandro Christmas Crazy Party and reminding us why we work so hard to make it happen every year. We throw it because we know the donated toys go to children that, otherwise, would not have any presents to open on Christmas morning. Having a toy like the Imaginext BigFOOT the Monster to donate is so exciting for our family. Any child lucky enough to get it will surely have one of the most coveted toys of this holiday season. And we get to give it to them.

It’s official. We are having the 12th annual Calandro Christmas Crazy party. Thanks to Fisher-Price, the Imaginext BigFOOT the Monster sealed the deal.

Yep, we’re giving this toy away. But this isn’t a giveaway. You aren’t going to win it, but some lucky child gets to have it. This Christmas, we encourage you to find a charity in your area and make a donation in the spirit of giving. Trust us, it feels fantastic, even better than winning something for yourself.

I won the Imaginext BigFOOT the Monster toy by chance from Fisher-Price at the BlogHer 2010 conference. I was not compensated for this post. The Calandro Christmas Crazy party is a personally-funded, private party thrown for a local charity.

As usual the Calandro Clan goes beyond the call of duty. I just can’t believe we’re going to have to wait for Christmas to see y’all again! LOL, nothing like a self-invite :0)
