“Mommy! Mommy! Hey Mom! Look! Mommy!”
I only needed milk from the store. (I always need milk from the store.) I wanted this to be a fast trip, but with all three boys this proves impossible, even on their best behaved days. It’s a grocery store. These places are designed to grab the attention of your appetite and taste buds. To resist is futile.
They kept calling “Mommy!” Until I turned around. I just wanted us to be in and out quickly so I wasn’t really paying attention. I was focusing on getting out of there. “This is that candy you got from that thing!! It’s in the stores now!! Can we get it?!? But you realllllly liked it and now they have it and they didn’t have it before and you got it from that thing. Remember?!?!”
Now they had my attention.
I did remember. My boys were beside themselves because Butterfinger Snackerz was now available in stores. I got a sample when I was in New York at “that thing” (BlogHer Conference) and brought it back to my family. We all tried the candy and immediately wanted more. That’s when I realized it wouldn’t be available in stores until October.
Now it’s in the stores. And it’s in my house. And I’m passing it out at Halloween. At least that’s what I’ll be telling my kids as they go out Trick or Treating with the LOML and leave me at home to hand out the candy. (Someone has to do it!)
Disclosure: I got the samples in the photo for free. I would have bought this candy for Halloween anyway, because I really do like it. I probably will have to buy more because there won’t be much left by Halloween. And I was planning to write a post telling you how much I like it. Even without this free stuff. Really.
